SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE KITS

The Air-Cooled Scheduled Maintenance kits offer all the hardware necessary to perform a complete maintenance on our air cooled generators. Oil must be purchased separately based upon manufacturer recommendations listed below. Maintenance is recommended at every 200 hours or 2 years.

COLD WEATHER ACCESSORIES

Cold Weather Kit The Cold Weather Kit, applicable for all standby generators includes a battery warmer with a built-in thermostat. When temperatures fall below an acceptable level, the thermostat activates the battery warmer maintaining optimum battery temperature for the best generator start up.

 

In addition to the battery warmer kits, a crankcase warmer is available. It is specifically designed to maintain optimum oil temperature for maximum starting capability in cold weather. These kits are recommended for generators installed in regions where the temperature regularly falls below 10 degrees.

Extreme Cold Weather Kit The Extreme Cold Weather Kit, for liquid-cooled generators only, includes the appropriate block heater, step-by-step installation instructions and all necessary mounting hardware for an extra degree of extreme weather protection.

FASCIA/BASE TRIM

Fascia Fascia base wrap snaps together to fit around the base edge of the air-cooled automatic standby generators to provide a sleek, contoured appearance. The fascia trim offers protection from rodents and insects by covering the lifting holes located in the base.

BATTERY

Battery Every standby generator requires a battery to start the system. Generac offers the recommended 26R, wet cell battery for use with all air-cooled standby product and liquid-cooled standby product 45 kW and below, excluding the QT4842.
